The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) has posted a Recycling Directory on their website. The directory includes all recycling opportunities for paper, plastics, metals, and glass (with the exception of metal scrap dealers) available to the public in the state. The directory is organized by county and includes private businesses, local government programs and university/college programs. The directory’s home is on the Recycling and Waste Reduction Programs page.
The directory can also be accessed under the “How Do I” drop down menu at the top of the MDEQ home page. Select “How do I recycle in my area?” for the directory. In addition, the link is given in the list of “Individual” links when you select “See Individual Links” under the “For Individuals” section on the MDEQ home page. Select “Recycling in my area” for the directory.
Contact the MDEQ Waste Division for more information at 601-961-5171.
Hello, do you know what metal alloys they recycle. I’m assuming steel and aluminum, but what about bronze especially leaded bronze?
