The Mississippi “Magnolia” Chapter of SWANA invites you to join us in the Bluff City for the 2022 SWANA Fall Conference at the Natchez Convention Center in historic downtown Natchez, MS. The conference will offer attendees a chance to learn from experts in the industry and regulatory communities on topics that deal with the technical, practical, and regulatory aspects of safe and successful solid waste management. There will also be several opportunities to network with our sponsors, exhibitors, and other attendees. The conference will be held October 11-13, 2022.

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

At this time, there are no mask or vaccine mandates for attendees during the conference and while in public areas in Natchez; however, we will continue to encourage all recommended guidelines and will follow any local or statewide requirements as they develop. Any potential attendee with higher risk of COVID-19 infection should use best judgment in deciding whether to attend the conference.

All attendees that are not up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations are encouraged to wear masks while up and walking through the conference area, at indoor events, and where social distancing is not otherwise feasible; however, wearing masks will NOT be required at this time during conference events. At the same time, all attendees should feel comfortable wearing one if desired. We ask that all in attendance please be mindful of their own safety and the safety of others and be patient as we take all proper precautions at the registration desk, in the conference and exhibitor areas, and during our networking events. We encourage frequent hand washing and use of hand sanitizing stations as well as maintaining at least 6 feet of distance from other attendees to the extent practical.

The safety and health of our attendees, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, and other conference guests is our top priority, and we are working with the hotel, conference venue, and other local establishments to provide a safe and enjoyable stay for all who attend in person. However, please note that we are continuing to monitor the spread of COVID-19 in Mississippi and may still have to make the decision to cancel any in-person event.

Room blocks have been made available for conference attendees at both the Natchez Grand Hotel, located directly across the street from the conference venue as well as the Holiday Inn Express and Suites less than a mile down the road.

ATTENDEE REGISTRATION

Early registration ($50 discount) fees for conference attendance are $300 for members and $350 for non-members until August 31, 2022. After August 31, the standard fees of $350 for members and $400 for non-members will apply.

LATE FEE
All registration fees MUST be paid prior to the start of the conference. A late fee of $50 will be applied to each attendee’s registration for which payment is not received prior to the conference.

STUDENT ATTENDANCE
Attention, full-time college students! If you’d like to learn more about the solid waste management industry and SWANA, you’re invited to participate in our conference free of charge. Just click the button below to register, and you’ll have access to the conference sessions, exhibitor’s hall, and networking events and only be responsible for hotel accommodations and meals not already provided as part of the conference and events.

EXHIBITOR AND SPONSOR REGISTRATION

Sponsorship is requested for all networking events during the conference. Sponsorship will grant your company recognition throughout the conference and special events.  Sponsorship is $600.00 and includes conference admission for one (1) attendee.

Exhibit space will be available for companies who desire to display their products or services. The registration fee for exhibit space and conference admission for two (2) attendees, is $750.00.

LATE FEE
All registration fees MUST be paid prior to the start of the conference. A late fee of $100 will be applied to each sponsor’s or exhibitor’s registration for which payment is not received prior to the conference.

NETWORKING EVENTS

We’re happy to continue to offer our attendees networking opportunities which are included in your registration fee. These are great opportunities to connect with other conference attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors. Events are subject to change, but the tentative events are as follows:

MEET AND GREET – TUESDAY, OCTOBER 11
After conference sessions end on the first day, all are invited to a Meet and Greet just up Main St at Rolling River Reloaded for drinks, door prizes, and the chance to catch up with colleagues or meet some new folks in the industry.

CLAY SHOOT* – WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12
Following the Wednesday morning conference sessions, we’re bringing back everyone’s favorite clay shooting event complete with a fish fry by our friends at Puckett, drinks, and door prizes. More details to come.

BREWERY TRIVIA* – WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12
Also after the Wednesday morning sessions, join us for killer pizza, craft beer, and trivia just down the street at the Natchez Brewing Company. More details to come.

“YELLOWSTONE” RIVER PARTY – WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12

Remember the block party last year? We do, too, and it’s back by popular demand. On Wednesday night, take a walk down Broadway St to Smoot’s Grocery, and join us for a block party with food provided by our friends at Pickett Industries, drinks, live music, games, and great opportunities to network right along the gorgeous MS River. Fans of the show “Yellowstone”, wear your best Yellowstone-inspired attire for a chance to win prizes for the best Dressed Dutton!
