The Mississippi “Magnolia” Chapter of SWANA invites you to join us on the MS Gulf Coast for the 2022 SWANA Spring Conference at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, MS. The conference will offer attendees a chance to learn from experts in the industry and regulatory communities on topics that deal with the technical, practical, and regulatory aspects of safe and successful solid waste management. There will also be several opportunities to network with our sponsors, exhibitors, and other attendees. The conference will be held April 12-14, 2022.

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

At this time, there are no mask or vaccine mandates for attendees during the conference and while in public areas in Biloxi; however, we will continue to encourage all recommended guidelines and will follow any local or statewide requirements as they develop. Any potential attendee with higher risk of COVID-19 infection should use best judgment in deciding whether to attend the conference.

All attendees that are not up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations are encouraged to wear masks while up and walking through the conference area, at indoor events, and where social distancing is not otherwise feasible; however, wearing masks will NOT be required at this time during conference events. At the same time, all attendees should feel comfortable wearing one if desired. We ask that all in attendance please be mindful of their own safety and the safety of others and be patient as we take all proper precautions at the registration desk, in the conference and exhibitor areas, and during our networking events. We encourage frequent hand washing and use of hand sanitizing stations as well as maintaining at least 6 feet of distance from other attendees to the extent practical.

The safety and health of our attendees, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, and other conference guests is our top priority, and we are working with the hotel, conference venue, and other local establishments to provide a safe and enjoyable stay for all who attend in person. However, please note that we are continuing to monitor the spread of COVID-19 in Mississippi and may still have to make the decision to cancel any in-person event.

ATTENDEE REGISTRATION

Early registration ($50 discount) fees for conference attendance are $300 for members and $350 for non-members with payment via PayPal or check RECEIVED by March 11, 2022. After March 11, the standard fees of $350 for members and $400 for non-members will apply.

LATE FEE
If payment is not received by March 31, 2021, a late fee of $50 will be applied.

ALL REGISTRATION FEES MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO START OF CONFERENCE.

Attention, full-time college students! If you’d like to learn more about the solid waste management industry and SWANA, you’re invited to participate in our conference free of charge. Just click the button below to register, and you’ll have access to the conference sessions, exhibitor’s hall, and networking events and only be responsible for hotel accommodations and meals not already provided as part of the conference and events.

EXHIBITOR AND SPONSOR REGISTRATION

Sponsorship is requested for all networking events during the conference. Sponsorship will grant your company recognition throughout the conference and special events.  Sponsorship is $600.00 and includes conference admission for one (1) attendee.

Exhibit space will be available for companies who desire to display their products or services. The registration fee for exhibit space and conference admission for two (2) attendees, is $750.00 with payment via PayPal or check RECEIVED by March 31, 2022.

LATE FEE
If payment for sponsor/exhibitor registration fees is not received by March 31, 2022, a late fee of $100 will be applied.

NETWORKING EVENTS

We’re happy to continue to offer our attendees networking opportunities which are included in your registration fee. These are great opportunities to connect with other conference attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors. Events are subject to change, but the tentative events are as follows:

MEET AND GREET – TUESDAY, APRIL 12
After conference sessions end on the first day, all are invited to catch up with friends and colleagues and meet some new people at our Meet and Greet. Details to come.

GOLF* – WEDNESDAY, APRIL 13
Following the Wednesday morning conference sessions, we’ll offer a golf outing. Details to come.

SWANA LUAU* – WEDNESDAY, APRIL 13
Hosted by Pickett Industries, K&L Environmental Solutions, and Matrix New World Engineering
Pack your Hawaiian shirts for a Luau on the Biloxi Bay following conference sessions on Wednesday afternoon! All attendees and guests are invited to join us for crawfish, drinks, live music, games, and great opportunities to network. The event will be at the Point Cadet Plaza (120 Cadet St, Biloxi, MS 39530) from 2-6pm. The plaza has a large shade-filled pavilion, breezes wafting across the Biloxi Bay, and is set against a backdrop of the gleaming Biloxi Bay Bridge.
